LEVIN is committed to increasing organic agriculture as well as the protection of the environment. The goal is not only to become a leader in excellent quality wines but in commercial responsibility as well. We are perpetually adopting new ideas with local farmers and the latest research in regards to environmental protection.

Our countryside location in the Loire Valley helps us to respect and appreciate the soil, water and air that gives our wines the wide range of flavour and ripening profiles we strive for. LEVIN is environmentally respectful in our path towards an organic management of the vineyards.

In the vineyards, we have limited chemical and pesticide usage but instead combine biological and minimal mechanical methods to handle insects. We also adhere to a strict soil conservation program with our practices in leaf plucking, cover cropping and no-till agriculture.

In the winery, our use of skylights is energy efficient and illustrates our environmentally friendly approach to business. For LEVIN, hygiene is of primary importance in the winery. Our equipment is constantly maintained and cleaned throughout the year. Therefore, conservation of water and waste is equally important.

LEVIN utilizes a water pump system that services the winery using treated recycled rain water. We are also conscientious with waste water, which is treated and picked up for repurification. These industrial practices place LEVIN as an environmental leader in the region.
